This game is one of the easiest to learn and play. Each player has their own cards and none are face up. The betting is the same as other games in that you can call, raise or fold.
Before starting you must decide if there are going to be any limits such as a maximum or minimum bet. Also you need to decide how many draws are allowed, most people use two but some use one. For the example below we will use 2 draws.
First the dealer deals the cards from the person on his left clockwise till all players have 5 cards. The person to the left then bets or checks. If someone raises then it keeps going around till all that are still in the game have put in the same amount. Now you get to change any or all of the 5 cards you have, for instance if you have 3 queens, and two rubbish cards you will change those 2. Pass them to the dealer face down and he will deal you two fresh cards from the deck which you will hope will match yours, in this case a queen.
After this the betting starts again from the player left of the dealer. Once betting has finished you have one more draw. At the end of this is one more round of betting then turn the cards over to see who has one.
This game is fast and can be expensive, especially if you are dealt for instance four different clubs. Its hard to fold then but you are changing only one card each draw so the odds are against you getting another club. However, a flush will win most hands if there are only a few of you playing. You must also remember that using 2 draws each person can have up to 13 cards in total so more than 4 players would require you use 2 decks of cards. Bit more complicated but can be done (really weird winning with 5 aces).
